Kelly
I have a BA degree in Primary Education and have worked in a range of different schools, based in Surrey, for thirteen years. I have taught in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and am currently working in a Forest School in South West London.
I enjoy tutoring in my spare time as it allows me to work 1:1 with children who need targeted support as well as build up their confidence in English and Maths away from the busy classroom. I have secure knowledge of the National Curriculum in the UK and will support alongside methods / strategies being taught in the classroom. I make my online sessions fun and engaging for the children as well as form good working relationships with my students. I am always on hand to support parents with help and guidance too!
Clare
I am a Primary-qualified teacher with experience teaching in international schools. I graduated with a Primary Specialist PGCE from the Institute of Education (UCL) and went on to work in Outstanding schools in London. After four years abroad, living and working in Asia, I now reside in England. I have experience teaching young children aged 3-16 years, both English and Maths. I particularly enjoy teaching young students to read, write and speak English confidently. This can be made really fun using phonics cards, games and activities, as well as some of my favourite stories. Having taught across the globe, I am used to teaching all levels and abilities.
Priya

I am patient and calm. My students grow in confidence and self-assurance under my guidance, really preparing them for their exams.

I have taught across Key Stages 2, 3, 4 and 5 within a wealth of educational settings including: Mainstream Comprehensive Schools, Sixth Form provision within a thriving secondary school, and within Specialist Schools for SEND, MLD, SALT and SEMH. Currently, I teach English within an International School and therefore have knowledge of Cambridge IGCSE exams. I also offer academic Editing and Proof Reading and professional CV writing. Laura
At university, I studied Educational and Social Science combined with English for one year before later gaining QTS. I teach English to Key Stage 3 and 4 at a co-educational school offering alternative provisions to students with a range of learning and behavioural needs. I teach English Language and Literature as well as Functional Skills and Cambridge IGCSE. I feel passionate about working alongside students to fulfil and exceed their potential.
I am patient, positive and have good problem-solving skills- meaning I am able to identify any gaps in learning and support students to problem solve and develop new skills, enabling them to fully understand technique knowledge, topics or text. It is important that students can become independent learners and develop an appropriate level of understanding in order to master and advance themselves. I achieve this by making the lessons student-centred and personalised to their needs and goals. I live by the mantra ‘tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”. I pride myself on making lessons fun, positive and engaging!
Louisa
